#CreativeKickstart September

#CreativeKickstart is a hashtag to share what we've been making and being inspired by each month, created by my merfriend Cuttlefishlove. I kept up with it for a few months last year but then lost track. This year I want to post a photo for each month. I think it will be really interesting to look back at the end of the year and see my creative journey!

In the photo for September I have included:

Deer: For the whole of September I was doing an art challenge I made up for myself called #ADeerADay. I produced 30 artworks of deer in 30 days, and I was really proud of how I did! Deer themes also seeped into other things I was working on, and I made a couple of polymer clay deer.

Knitting: I continued working on my hat project. I've never made a hat before, and haven't chosen the simplest pattern to start off with, so it is slow progress!

Polymer clay: After discovering how to bake polymer clay in my very old, inefficient oven without  destroying it, I continued making things with polymer clay in September. It was the perfect small craft to do in the evenings after I'd finished my deer picture for the day, and I made quite a few small pieces.

Mushrooms: Fungi featured in both the polymer clay items I made during September and several of the deer pictures I produced.

Stars, moons and witchy things: I started working on a starry cape, which is the backdrop of this picture, and moons and stars also appeared as themes in some of my deer pictures. As Autumn started to draw in I started to think about witchy themes and clothing.
