Toadstool Rainbow Necklace

Quite a while ago I made this toadstool themed, rainbow coloured necklace...and then I put it away and forgot about it. I got it out again for UK Fungus Day this year, and I thought it was about time it made it onto the blog!

It has a little wooden toadstool as the focal point at the front. I bought a multi pack of these wooden toadstools from eBay, poked a hole in the top of the red one and then glued an eye pin into the hole, so that I could string it on the necklace. The other beads are some glass lampwork toadstools which are also from eBay, and some tiny star and heart shaped glass beads I thrifted. I also made a matching bracelet which you can see in this post.

I think this necklace turned out very cute and a bit fairy tale-esque, which I like because I am all about the fairy tale aesthetics. It also reminds me a little bit of those colourful plastic bead necklaces everyone seems to have owned at some point in their childhood. Now I just need some fungi themed clothes to wear it with...

  1. I love your necklace 🍄 and I love how you added the stars, they're so cute.

  2. I love that necklace! The little glass toadstool beads!
