#CreativeKickstart May

#CreativeKickstart is a hashtag to share what we've been making and being inspired by each month, created by my merfriend Cuttlefishlove. I kept up with it for a few months last year but then lost track. This year I want to post a photo for each month. I think it will be really interesting to look back at the end of the year and see my creative journey!

In the photo for May I have included:

Knitting: I continued working on my bluebell cape project despite it going wrong approximately 108234853 times, which I am quite proud of. I am getting slightly better at actually sticking with knitting projects, and not just moving on to a new project as soon as thing go wrong.

Flowers and flower crowns: The weather in May was lovely and everything was starting to bloom, so my mind turned to flowers, floral motifs, and flower crowns. I started making a few, including a rose crown and a convolvulus crown.

Sewing: The sewing streak continued in May, and I started on lots of projects. However I need to get better at finishing them!

Gardening: I planted lots of seeds in May and started working on my garden. Although gardening isn't usually classed as a creative activity, I think it is very creative! I now have lots of plants growing (including the tomato plant you can see at the bottom of the photo) and have started to tame the garden, which had been neglected for years. I am excited about creating a relaxing and restful space where I can also interact with nature.
