#CreativeKickstart February
#CreativeKickstart is a hashtag to share what we've been making and being inspired by each month, created by my merfriend Cuttlefishlove. I kept up with it for a few months last year but then lost track. This year I want to post a photo for each month. I think it will be really interesting to look back at the end of the year and see my creative journey!
February was really not the most creative or inspiring month for me. Although I kept up with my Creative365 challenge and did something creative every day, a lot of what I tried to work on went wrong. I was also really stressed about some general life stuff, so it wasn't very conducive to being particularly inventive in my creativity! As a result there isn't a great deal in my #CreativeKickstart image for February. However, I did include the following:
Knitting-I did a lot of knitting and also taught Lucie from Tetris and Cheesecakes to knit, passing on the obsession. Even when I'm not feeling very creative, knitting is so easy to just pick up and do a few rows here and there, and it's so repetitive that unless it's a complicated pattern, it doesn't require me to think too much.
Sewing- I finally got back into sewing, and although I still haven't finished the projects I started, it feels good to be having the urge to sew after months and months of barely touching my machine. I have a lot of fabric I want to use up over the course of this year, so I hope the enthusiasm for sewing continues now!
Seasonal influences-I started getting inspired by seasonal motifs again, such as snowdrops. One year (maybe next year?) I would like to make an outfit for each month inspired by the natural phenomena of that month, and take photos. I think that would be an interesting project.

I'm starting to get back into sewing again as well, so I'd like to see what you're working on. And I love the idea of seasonal outfits for each month!

Yeah, I think that's going to be my big year long project for next year! I might actually make some of the pieces in advance, but I want to do proper styling and photograph them in different places to show the seasons.
