On day 30 I drew a few rough sketches of things I wanted to make. I really need to spend more time on planning and designing my projects.
On day 31 I made a tiny unicorn horn with Fimo. This one is much smaller than the one I made in my previous post.
On day 32 I did a little more on my slipper knitting project.
On day 33 I didn't make anything, but I went to the Wildlife Photographer Of The Year exhibition, which was great, and saw my favourite band live. I am counting this as a creative activity, because going out and getting inspiration from other people's creativity is very important! It's something I need to do more often.
On day 34 I made a bra pattern from a bra I like, because I plan on making some underwear.
On day 35 I started a really difficult knitting project. This particular pattern has already defeated me twice, hopefully third time's the charm.
On day 36 I cut out felt shapes to make felt snowdrops. I want to get back into doing seasonal themed crafts.
On day 37, the TERRIBLE CRAFT CALAMITY occurred. I spent an afternoon working on polymer clay creations, put them in the oven to bake....and burned them all. Knowing that if I didn't get straight back on the horse I would probably avoid polymer clay like the plague for weeks, I quickly made this little toadstool.
On day 38 I started making a top with this amazing metallic fabric.
On day 39 I made a template for customising some shoes. I'm covering them with this iridescent fabric, and I'm not sure whether to add gems on top.
On day 40 I cut out dress pieces from an embroidered snowdrop tablecloth. Hopefully I'll finish this while there are still snowdrops out!
On day 41 I worked on the slipper project some more. For simple garter stitch rows, I'm taking a long time over this.
On day 42 it was back to the really hard knitting project, which still looks like a terrifying mess but will hopefully turn out pretty.
And on day 43 I started making a skirt with some wonderful pumpkin and toadstool print fabric!
I think my aim for the coming weeks is to finish all these projects I've started! I need to buckle down and focus, and if I want to start new things I need to design and plan new projects instead, without actually starting them. Having a head full of ideas is tough sometimes, but I'd still rather have this than have no inspiration.
