Winter Wishlist

In the winter I fixate on snow, snowflakes and Scandinavian influences. I want to hibernate under blankets, wear festive colours and enjoy the soft glow of lamplight. Here is a wishlist inspired by all those things.

This amazing snowflake design crochet blanket by FERNandSAL would be perfect to snuggle up on the sofa under. I like the soft blue colour, and the snowflakes are beautifully intricate.

This beautiful lamp by Lady Desidia would make the winter evenings seem warmer and brighter, with its cosy glow and sweet image.

I'm not usually into festive themed clothing or accessories, but this kitten brooch by I Love Crafty is just too darned cute! I love it!

The girl in this print by Melissa Nettleship looks a bit like me, and I'd like to look at it and imagine it was a portrait of me riding Iorek Byrnison, the armoured polar bear from Northern Lights. I love the use of red against all the cool, wintry colours.

This snow white pixie doll by Forest Creature Dolls would be a welcome addition to my family of plushies, and the perfect winter muse. She's so ethereal and beautiful. (Forest Creature Dolls is sold out right now, but check her instagram for details of the next release)
I have wanted this stunning print by Diana Sudyka for ages, something about it really captivates me.  I especially love the sky with all the spirit animals bounding across it.

I find snowflakes fascinating, so a copy of The Snowflake from Books Please would make for an interesting read.

This cute winter village cushion cover by APassion4Pillows would add a suitably seasonal touch to my sofa cushions, and I think it would go really well with the Lady Desidia lamp.

  1. I love the blanket and the cat pin. That picture of the girl on the polar bear reminds me of East of the sun, west of the moon, a story similar to several fairy-tales, I have read the folk tale and the novel so it's a pretty cool print.

As for winter stuff I want, warm soft blankets, comfy boots, silly/cute stocking caps, fluffy cat paw mittens, snowflake jewelry, giant plush animal. I do have a sock monkey hat which is why I kind of want more cute and silly hats.

    1. I think that's the story the print is based on actually! My sister bought me the print for Christmas so that was nice :)
Ooh good choices, I want to make a furry fox ear hat.
