Heaven In A Wildflower

I'm not sure what it is about bluebells-perhaps their delicacy, that gorgeous colour, their ephemeral nature-but I absolutely adore them. There is something magical about them, and walking among them is a very special experience.

  1. I first experienced bluebells in a bottle in Penhalgon's in London in the depths of winter. I loved the scent, but had never seen or smelled a real bluebell before. When spring came the forests of the southern downs burst out in a carpet of bluebells and I still get drunk just thinking of the thick parfume!

  2. I love bluebells too. Have you ever read I CAPTURE THE CASTLE by Dodie Smith? The flowers always remind me of that book (which is also my favorite book ever).
