Colourful Flowers, Painted Feathers and Curly Tails at Windmill Hill City Farm

Back in early Spring I went to Windmill Hill City Farm, for the first time in a long time. Things had changed! There were a lot more curly tailed, floppy eared pigs than I remembered.

They showed some brief interest before going back to rooting around in the straw. They seemed pretty cheerful.

There were some beautiful chickens with very striking feathers. They looked like someone had spent hours painstakingly painting them,

I watched an incredibly cute guinea pig nom for a while.

At the time the crocuses and snowdrops were in bloom everywhere, the former providing welcome splashes of bright colour. The snowdrops were dancing in the breeze like tiny, elegant fairies.

I gave this pregnant goat a head scratch.

This duck should win awards for being the most photogenic duck ever.

I hadn't seen these gorgeous fluffy rabbits before either. They looked adorable, all snuggled up and sleepy.

It was a great visit and I'd forgotten just how much I like this place. I've actually been back since then and the pregnant goat has now had her babies! SO THERE WILL BE BABY GOAT PICTURES ON THE BLOG SOON.

If you want to visit Windmill Hill City Farm or find out more about them, please visit their website-

(This is not a sponsored post, I just really like this place!)

  1. I have heard of this City Farm but have not yet visited it. It sounds as if you enjoyed yourself so may be I will take the family in the school holidays.

  2. The baby goat is SOOOO adorable! The pigs too. In fact they are all adorable!
I agree, hands down most photogenic duck.
