OOTD: Mori Kei Inspired

There are days when I want to dress up and days when I want to wear things that feel like pyjamas. On the latter, I always seem to reach for this dress. It's self made, from a soft and flowy feather patterned jersey.

The other selfmade element to this outfit is this necklace, which I love and wear often. It goes with so many styles and colours.

I didn't want to wear a cardigan on this day, so I wrapped a beautiful handknitted (not by me) shawl around myself. One edge of it has a zig zag pattern which reminds me of a dragon's wing.

I added a wooden deer brooch to the shawl. I have a pair of these, they are rather old now but I still adore them.

I wore a soft purple top under the dress, which I thought matched the shawl well, and my trusty black boots. Overall I think it created a pretty mori inpired look, although it didn't have enough layers to classify as "true" mori. Still, I liked it, which is the main thing!
