Although to my mind it has already felt like Spring for a couple of weeks, today is the official change of season. I love Spring, it always seems so full of promise, and is the time when many of my favourite flowers and flowering trees (tulips, primroses, magnolias, cherry blossom) come into bloom. It's also when I get to wear my favourite kinds of outfits-cotton dresses, swishy skirts, cardigans, capes, dainty tops, lace, and BARE LEGS-without either feeling like I am freezing to death or boiling in my own sweat. The light is great for taking photographs, there are cute baby animals everywhere...there are just so many reasons to love it. This Spring is already shaping up to be pretty exciting, with some interesting opportunities, and there are so many things I'm looking forward to!

This is a quick little outfit post to show a dress I made several months ago. I spotted this crazy animal print stretch fabric in one of my local fabric shops, and knew I had to have it. I made a dress in what has become a bit of a go-to shape for me, with a fitted bodice and half circle skirt. The dress has owls, rabbits, toads, badgers, squirrels, and foxes on it...and then for some unknown reason, parrots, eagles and what looks like kookaburras?! It's an odd combination, but I love it.
As I'm pretty happy that it is Spring, I wore one of the flower crowns I've been making recently. I made a few to keep for myself because they are so pretty! I also threw on a little Monsoon beaded cardigan I picked up in a charity shop, and my trusty New Look boots which were acquired via Ebay. I was happy to be able to have bare legs! It was quite a warm day.
This is a really comfortable outfit which I wear quite often. This dress was a brilliant addition to my wardrobe, I think I have worn it every week since I made it!
