On one of my walks with my love we noticed something unusual in the distance-flashes of pink amongst the green.
It was a tiny patch of beautiful foxgloves! Although I'm used to seeing these in gardens, I hadn't seen any foxgloves growing wild.
It seems odd that I don't see more of them, given how often I am in the woods, but perhaps the soil or conditions around here are not to their taste. Whatever, they were an unusual sight and it felt like a special discovery.
I've always thought of foxgloves as having an air of magic about them, and it felt like a fairytale moment to find these on an already pretty magical walk. I love these tiny discoveries and sights which make life feel that little bit more special.
